The highly anticipated Infinix Zero Flip has officially made its debut in India, marking the company’s first foray into the foldable smartphone market. Launched on October 17, 2024, the Zero Flip positions itself as an affordable option in the clamshell foldable category, blending powerful specifications with a sleek design.

Design and Display

The Infinix Zero Flip offers a premium foldable design. It weighs 195g and features dimensions of 170.75 x 73.4 x 16.04 mm when folded and 87.8 x 73.4 x 7.64 mm when unfolded. The phone has two striking color options: Blossom Glow and Rock Black.

It sports a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED inner display with a resolution of Full-HD+ and 120Hz refresh rate. This large, immersive screen also boasts a 360Hz touch sampling rate, providing ultra-smooth touch responses, ideal for gaming and multimedia consumption. The inner screen is protected by Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) for enhanced durability.

On the outside, the 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display offers the same 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. This external screen is designed for quick access to notifications, music controls, and essential tasks.

Performance and Hardware

At the heart of the Infinix Zero Flip is the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, a mid-range but powerful processor that delivers strong performance, especially for multitasking and gaming. This SoC is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be expanded up to 16GB using virtual RAM technology, ensuring smooth performance even with memory-intensive apps.

The phone comes with 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, providing fast data transfer rates and ample storage space. Unfortunately, there is no option to expand the storage via a microSD card, so users will need to rely on internal memory.

Infinix Flip Zero Cameras

The camera system on the Infinix Zero Flip is a standout feature. It houses a dual 50MP rear camera setup:

• 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) for clear, stable shots.
• 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 114-degree field-of-view for capturing wide-angle photos.

Both rear cameras can record 4K video at 30 fps. On the front, another 50MP camera is housed on the inner display. It can shoot high-quality selfies and support 4K video recording at 60 fps. This setup makes the Zero Flip a compelling choice for photography enthusiasts and content creators.

Software and AI Features

The device runs on Android 14, overlaid with Infinix’s XOS 14.5 custom skin. The software promises a clean, customizable user experience, along with a commitment to two major Android OS updates and three years of security patches.

Infinix has also integrated several AI-powered tools to enhance the photography experience, such as:

• AI Eraser: For removing unwanted objects from photos.
• Smart Cutout: This allows users to cut out objects and people from images easily.

Powering the Infinix Zero Flip is a 4,720mAh battery, which should provide solid battery life for most users. The phone supports 70W fast wired charging, allowing it to charge quickly even under extreme conditions. Infinix claims the phone can charge efficiently even in temperatures as low as -20°C.
