The MagicPad 2 comes with a 12.3-inch OLED screen, offering a 3K resolution of 3000 x 1920 pixels. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate, which provides fluid visuals for gaming and smooth scrolling.
It also delivers a peak brightness of 1600 nits, making it easily viewable even in bright environments. For those who are sensitive to flickering, Honor has included 4320Hz PWM dimming, reducing eye strain during prolonged use.
Weighing 555g and measuring 5.8mm thick, the MagicPad 2 is ultra-portable and ideal for users on the go. It is also crafted from aerospace-grade materials, which reduces weight while improving strength.
Performance
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which offers strong performance for multitasking, gaming, and media consumption. Although it is not a top-of-the-line chip, it is better than a mid-range chip. The MagicPad 2 is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, making it powerful enough to handle demanding applications with ease.
Cameras
The tablet features a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front camera, suitable for casual photography, video calls, and conferencing. While it’s not marketed as a photography-centric device, it is more than adequate for day-to-day needs.
Battery and Charging
The MagicPad 2 houses a massive 10,050mAh battery, ensuring long battery life, even with heavy use. It supports 66W fast charging, allowing users to charge the device rapidly and get back to work or play without long downtimes.
Software and Features
Running on MagicOS 8.0.1, which is based on Android 14, the MagicPad 2 comes with various productivity features, including support for Honor’s Magic Pencil 3. This stylus provides 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and is optimized for note-taking, drawing, and other creative tasks.
Other software features include AI-driven tools, such as voice-to-text conversion and handwriting beautification, making it a versatile tool for both work and leisure. For an immersive multimedia experience, it also includes an eight-speaker system with spatial sound support, certified by IMAX Enhanced and DTS audio.
