Intel’s Arc “Battlemage” GPU series, set to expand the company’s discrete graphics offerings, has been partially unveiled through leaked specifications. The lineup includes two models, the Arc B580 and Arc B570, leveraging the Xe2 HPG architecture and fabricated on TSMC’s N4 process.
Arc B580: Equipped with 20 Xe2 cores and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit interface, it offers a bandwidth of 456 GB/s and a boost clock of 2.8 GHz. Its expected price is around $250.
Arc B570: Slightly scaled-down, it features 18 Xe2 cores, 10 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 160-bit interface, 380 GB/s bandwidth, and a boost clock of 2.6 GHz. Pricing details are not yet confirmed.
Both GPUs support PCIe 4.0 x8 interfaces, DisplayPort 2.1, and HDMI 2.1. ASRock has showcased factory-overclocked versions, hinting at enhanced performance for gaming and creative applications. The power requirements differ slightly, with the B580 needing dual 8-pin connectors, while the B570 operates on a single 8-pin connector.
Intel is targeting the mid-range market with competitive pricing. The Arc B580’s rumored MSRP of $250 positions it against the NVIDIA RTX 4060 and AMD RX 7600. The B570 is likely to come at a slightly lower price with relatively more VRAM at this price range. This seems like Intel’s USP against AMD and Nvidia in the mid-range segment.
