The Oura Ring 4 was launched in select markets with a host of improvements, blending sophisticated design with advanced health-tracking technology. This sleek, titanium-coated smart ring, available in six color options (Silver, Brushed Silver, Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Stealth), is designed to provide more accurate health insights while maintaining comfort and durability. It now comes in 12 sizes, ensuring a better fit for all users.

One of the key upgrades is the Smart Sensing technology. With an 18-path multi-wavelength photoplethysmography (PPG) system, the ring offers enhanced tracking for metrics like heart rate, sleep stages, blood oxygen levels, and stress.

Compared to the previous generation, the Oura Ring 4 is 30% more accurate at measuring blood oxygen and has 31% fewer gaps in nighttime heart rate tracking, leading to more reliable data.

The ring can also track over 40 different activities and features improved fertility insights for women, making it a versatile tool for both fitness and reproductive health tracking.

Battery life is another highlight, with up to 8 days on a single charge, thanks to the energy-efficient Smart Sensing algorithm that optimizes power usage. The new ring is also water-resistant up to 100 meters, making it suitable for swimming and other water activities.

Paired with a redesigned Oura App, the Oura Ring 4 offers users a streamlined interface to monitor their health through tabs like “Today,” “Vitals,” and “My Health.” These tabs provide both daily insights and long-term trends, helping users track progress over time.

The ring is available for pre-order starting at $349, with shipments beginning on October 15, 2024. Oura also offers a membership priced at $5.99 per month or $69.99 annually, which unlocks additional features like automatic activity detection and cycle insights.
