Google Pixel 9a Set for 2025 with Fresh Colors and Sleek Redesign

The Google Pixel 9a introduces new Peony and Iris colors, alongside a slimmer, more durable design with flat edges.

Google’s upcoming Pixel 9a, set to launch in 2025, will offer a fresh array of color options and a redesigned aesthetic. The device will be available in four colors: the classic Porcelain (white) and Obsidian (black), along with two new shades, Peony and Iris.

Peony, a pink hue, is expected to resemble the shade found in the base Pixel 9, while Iris introduces a bluish-purple tone, replacing the previous Aloe and Bay options seen in the Pixel 8a lineup.

Physically, the Pixel 9a will be slightly taller and wider than its predecessor, measuring 154 x 73 mm, and thinner at 8.5 mm compared to the Pixel 8a’s 8.9 mm. This thinner design, combined with a flush camera setup, hints at a smaller battery capacity.

The overall design direction moves away from previous Pixel models’ distinctive rear camera bar, adopting a more streamlined. Additionally, the Pixel 9a will feature flat sides, which align with modern smartphone trends and improve durability by reducing the chance of screen shattering on impact.

The Pixel 9a is expected to launch around May 2025, in line with previous release schedules. However, there’s a possibility that it could be launched slightly earlier.
