Samsung has begun releasing its One UI 6.1.1 update, bringing advanced AI-powered features to the Galaxy S24 series and several other devices, including the Galaxy S23 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9. Initially launched in South Korea, the update is set to roll out globally in the coming weeks.

One UI 6.1.1 brings a suite of AI enhancements, including Chat Assist and Note Assist, aimed at boosting productivity and creativity. Chat Assist, powered by Composer, allows users to draft emails, social media posts, and other text-based content by simply providing a few keywords.

The AI then crafts messages that fit the user’s tone and style, making it ideal for content creation on the go. Note Assist, on the other hand, can transcribe and summarize voice recordings, simplifying meeting notes and lectures.

Another feature coming with the OneUI 6.1.1 update is Sketch to Image, which enables users to generate AI-enhanced images from their sketches or doodles, whether using the S-Pen or editing existing photos. Meanwhile, Portrait Studio introduces creative options for transforming portraits into styles like watercolor or 3D cartoons, ideal for photographers and content creators.

Additional tools like PDF Overlay Translation allow users to translate text within PDFs or even from images and graphs. Instant Slo-mo offers the ability to slow down videos instantly while maintaining smooth image quality. Other AI features include Sound Search, which helps identify music, and Circle to Search, a tool for visual information retrieval and problem-solving.

Samsung aims to expand these AI-driven functionalities across more devices as part of its broader strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into everyday smartphone tasks.
