Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 Launch in India with MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC and Zeiss Cameras

The Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 have officially launched in India after it launched globally in November. Both models boast high-end features such as MediaTek’s powerful Dimensity 9400 chipset, an impressive imaging system co-engineered with Zeiss, and robust water and dust resistance certifications.

These smartphones are designed to cater to premium users looking for exceptional performance, display quality, and camera capabilities. Here’s everything you need to know about Vivo X200 and X200 Pro.

Processor and Performance

At the heart of the Vivo X200 series lies the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, built on an advanced 3nm architecture. This chipset ensures high performance and energy efficiency, which is ideal for intensive multitasking and gaming.

The phones come equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, offering blazing-fast read and write speeds. The Pro model further distinguishes itself with Vivo’s proprietary V3+ imaging chip, enabling enhanced photo processing and computational photography, a key feature for photography enthusiasts

Display

The Vivo X200 Pro sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (1260 x 2800 pixels). This screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz and achieves a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, ensuring vibrant and clear visuals even under direct sunlight.

The standard Vivo X200 features a slightly smaller 6.67-inch AMOLED LTPS display with similar resolution and refresh rate, making it equally suitable for consuming high-definition content. Both devices also include 2160Hz PWM dimming, reducing eye strain during prolonged use.

Camera Capabilities

The camera system is where the Vivo X200 series truly excels. The Pro model is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 200MP ISOCELL HP9 telephoto sensor with 3.7x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is paired with a 50MP Sony LYT-818 main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus.

The Vivo X200, while slightly less ambitious, still delivers impressive imaging capabilities with its 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50MP JN1 ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Both models also feature a 32MP front camera for high-quality selfies and video calls. These cameras are co-engineered with Zeiss, ensuring professional-grade results with features like improved low-light performance and realistic color reproduction.

The standard Vivo X200 is powered by a slightly smaller 5,800mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging. These devices are tailored to meet the needs of users who demand extended battery life without compromising on fast recharging capabilities.

Design and Durability

Both models feature a premium build with an IP68 and IP69 rating, offering excellent protection against water and dust. The Vivo X200 Pro measures 162 x 75.95 x 8.49mm and weighs 228 grams, while the Vivo X200 is slightly lighter and slimmer at 162 x 74.81 x 7.99mm, weighing 202 grams.

Software and Connectivity

The devices run Funtouch OS 15, based on the latest Android 15, delivering a user-friendly and customizable experience. Connectivity options are comprehensive, including support for 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and navigation systems like NavIC and GLONASS.

The inclusion of a range of sensors, such as an in-display fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, and proximity sensor, adds to their appeal as feature-packed smartphones.
